Summer Fun

What have I been up to this summer?

This summer has been so busy and is passing so fast I feel like I just can't keep up!!  Have you ever felt like it was just Monday and yet another weekend is rolling around?  Don't get me wrong, I love the weekends, but my time of being home with family is quickly coming to an end.  How is that even possible? I guess when you are having fun, time really does just fly.

I have been really lucky to find a placement in a veterinary clinic this summer near my hometown.  They have taken me in every summer when I come home and they teach me so much every time.  I love coming here and enjoy learning and growing every time.  Coldwater Animal Hospital has some amazing staff that is super patient and loves to teach anyone.  I have been able to do some surgeries this summer which is exciting and terrifying all at the same time.  Working on my surgical skills and confidence is something I just can't get enough of.  It really is harder than you think, so the practice definitly makes permanent in this case.  I have done spays, neuters, laceration repairs, and tooth extractions all summer long.  I wouldn't say I am a pro, but I'm better than when I started.  What more can you ask?

Not only do I work all day long, but I play as often as possible.  I can highly recommend a trip to the Hogle zoo in Salt Lake City Utah. As well as the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper Utah.  Animals all around from all over the world.  I would recommend the aquarium in the middle of the day when the heat is on, and the zoo when its cooled off just a bit.

Not only are there plenty of things to go visit and see, but plenty of places to hike and get outdoors. (or you can be a little lazy and take a ride on a motorized vehicle instead) And of course visit all my friends who never get to see me when I'm out of the country. So no matter what the day brings, you can be sure I'm not sitting still.

What a beautiful place I live in.
