One of the favorites

Germany is one of my favourite places to visit. This may be that after living there for a year and half I have friends and connections there. I like to think it doesn’t make me biased. I love this country and the people in it. I know when most people think of Germans their first thoughts are

1. Harsh language

2. Unfriendly people

I have found both of these to be false. I love the German language and when spoken correctly isn't near as harsh as people make it out to be. I will admit it is a bit more harsh than Italian, but isn’t every language?

The people are wonderful and straightforward. They are sure to tell you how it is and are very blunt. I don’t find that unfriendly, but rather very helpful. You always know where you stand. And if asked nicely they are usually more than willing to help out in any situation.

Then of course there are the Christmas markets. If you are going to travel in November-December, come to Germany. You will not be disappointed. The markets are a great treat and wonderful experience of the culture.
